Alyssa (2020) graduated with a degree in Independent Filmmaking. During her time at Bethel, she served as the President of the Communication Studies Honor Society, worked as a department studio TA, and produced several videos for the Marketing and Communications Departments. Alyssa also had the opportunity to study film in Los Angeles, where she wrote and directed her first short film, leading to screenings at local film festivals. She is currently a Video Production Coordinator and Cinematographer at Captivate Media and Consulting. Alyssa is inspired by the words of Minneapolis cinematographer Ben Enke: "Pain is temporary. Film is forever.” She embraces this mindset in her work, always pushing forward with the belief to "keep making things, and never stop no matter who tells you to!"

Jhenna Becker double majored in English Literature & Writing and Journalism while minoring in Photojournalism. Jhenna served as a section photographer for the Bethel University Clarion during the 2019-2020 school year. Jhenna has a passion for writing and storytelling which has fueled her ability to work in a cohesive team and bring truth to the Bethel community. Jhenna is currently working as a Project Manager at Faith+Lead Academy.

Katie Pope

Katie Pope (2018) graduated from Bethel University with a degree in Media Production. She pursued a career as a videographer in the Twin Cities, specializing in non-profit and promotional videos. Katie also works as an editor for Uptop Films, where she creates short films, mini-documentaries, and commercial work. Katie is passionate about capturing the stories of individuals who are actively working to improve their communities and support others. She values the kindness and support of the local filmmaking community, which has been a source of inspiration throughout her career.

Ryan Russie

Ryan (2018) graduated from Bethel University with a degree in Media Production & Independent Filmmaking and a minor in Business. He developed a wide range of skills in digital media creation, contributing to his diverse career in the field. Ryan’s expertise spans both video production and photography. His video work includes promotional videos, corporate/internal content, music videos, and narrative films. Additionally, he has experience in photography, capturing headshots, weddings, portraits, and event coverage. Throughout his career, Ryan has focused on telling stories that impact, inspire, and challenge audiences.

Mild Du (2025) was a double major in Media Production and Business & Political Science. She completed internships, including one with WCCO TV, and earned two Midwest Regional Emmy Student Production awards. Mild aspires to work as a sports media manager or producer for the NFL or NBA. She also served as Bethel’s 2024-2025 class president, demonstrating her leadership and dedication to her community.

Tom Delich

Tom Delich (2018) has a background in media production and is passionate about editing and filming. During his time as an undergraduate student, he anchored the offensive line for Bethel's football team. Tom is the current CEO of Contempo Components. He also serves as an Environmental, Health and Safety Consultant at Greeneye Partners. In his spare time, Tom works as a cinematographer and editor.

Kale (2023) was a Media Production major at Bethel. His interests lie in film and video production, acting, editing, and directing. Kale is currently working as a freelance actor and a videographer for Ridgeway Companies.

Ben Martin

Ben Martin studied Business Marketing and Media Production at Bethel University. He is currently working as a videographer at Seoul Centered Films and Bethel University. He is also a freelance content producer and enjoys bringing clients’ ideas to life through visual storytelling. Ben strives to pursue a career within a vibrant company where he can use his creativity to provide value.

CJ Washington (2021) studied Media Production during his time at Bethel. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, CJ worked in the media studio as a TA and completed several internships in the media production and web design field. He strives to pursue a career in the corporate media industry.

Jordan Eddy

Jordan Eddy studied Computer Science at Bethel University. During his time there, he collaborated with a team of students in the Media Production II course, which partnered with Breaking Free, an anti-trafficking nonprofit organization. As part of the course, Jordan contributed to the production of short feature stories aimed at raising awareness for Breaking Free's mission.

As a multi-talented creative, she assisted the Media Studio with podcast production, single-camera production, and three-camera studio productions. Elise currently serves as a Content Creator and Social Media Manager for Lano Equipment. She is also working as a freelance video editor.

Jake (2020) studied graphic design while at Bethel. During this time, Jake served on the Clarion staff as a photographer and designer. He was also a student worker in the Maker Space (multimedia learning space). He is currently employed as a production designer at Linnihan Foy.

Media TAs

This project was a collaboration between students in the Introduction to Media Production courses and Bethel University Admissions. The videos were produced under the direction of Professor Nick Swedlund and a group of Media Studio TAs, including Elise Jan, C.J. Washington, Ben Martin, Kale Cox, Matthew Eng, Josh Sanchelli, and Sadie Koelz. Together, these students created 16 department promotional videos in response to COVID limitations for on-campus visits.
